The MONOLITE has a very high efficiency (max. 109%) which places it at the peak of the classification according to European standards (Output Directive 92/42/EEC). The reasons for this high efficiency are: |
|
|
| |
1. Recovery of the latent heat by condensation of the water vapour present in the flue gases; |
|
|
| |
2. Extremely low flue temperature, equal to to that of the return water plus about 10 deg. C; |
|
|
| |
3. Reduction to a minimum of heat loss through the boiler casing, as the boiler may operate regularly alternating total off-periods without limits, below the water temperature. |

- High efficiency natural gas fired boilers release flues at 235-240° C during normal working operation (190° C steam at 12 bars). |
|
|
| |
- ICI Caldaie Economizers reduce the flues temperature by the preheat of the feeding water, thus recovering a substantial amount of gases sensitive heat. This energy recovery allows a 4 point increase of the boiler total efficiency. |
